As your CRM instances are managed, your backups are verified monthly and tested twice yearly.
What this means, is that once a month, after your infrastructure backup is completed, the backup files are opened to check they complete successfully and contain the expected data.
Furthermore, twice a year, the backup system is verified by restoring your fully working system and verifying the restored system works as expected.
